Artist’s Statement:
Art is my way of creating order out of the mental and emotional chaos caused by the past. Dot painting has allowed me to literally put myself back together mentally and emotionally and distance myself from the shattered child I once was. It has been the perfect tool to force my mind to focus on something better than the trauma of the past. This gentle form of natural therapy has brought me back to my intuitive and natural self, freeing me to communicate to the world outside my head in a language without words.
I am always seeking to imbue my paintings with the emotion I feel about my most treasured memories of my early childhood and The Land, which have always lifted my spirit regardless of my circumstances.
